Because those rock walls that Cédric Lachat leaves his skin and sweat on are places that have been immortalized in the history of mountaineering. They are walls and routes that have stimulated the creativity of some of the best mountaineers of all time, due to their complexity or to the human events that have taken place on those overhanging meters of pure adventure.

Switzerland, Cédric Lachat’s birthplace, is a paradise of multipitch routes. It’s home to some of the most captivating and challenging lines in the world — ones you have to try at least once in your life ... especially if you’re Swiss! So that’s what compelled Cédric Lachat to set out and systematically tackle the five most iconic and difficult routes: Yeah Man, in the Gastlosen; Zahir, in Wenden; Odyssee, on the Eiger; Fly, in the Lauterbrunnen Valley; and WöGu, in the Rätikon.
