“The simplest things in life are often the best.” The best memories from our childhood are associated with the times our grandmothers repeated this phrase to us. Sometimes while they were cooking our favorite food, other times while they were telling us our favorite bedtime story. We treasured those words and, growing up, found them reflected in our daily actions. Seeking the essence of things is what still guides us today as we pursue our athletic goals: we appreciate and respect the elements in their natural simplicity, a spontaneous gesture, an authentic expression after a victory or a defeat. It’s a principle that we’ve caried over to the development of our garments, where performance and lightness go together. We believe that to go far, you first need to eliminate the superfluous. So, for example, we place zippers only where they serve a purpose, taking care to use the most efficient and least intrusive technology. To pass on this teaching from Grandma Palmira, we’ve developed the Palmira Bag, transforming remnants from the production of our hemp garments into a simple but practical accessory. The absorbency and breathability of the natural fiber mean that the bag doesn’t trap odors. It’s an item that’s versatile and useful in its simplicity — whether on mountain trails, at the supermarket, at school, or at work. The upcycled product line evolves through a return to our roots.
