Josef (Seppi) Huber was born March 29, 1988, in Berchtesgaden, Upper Bavaria, Germany. He has developed a great love for sports since he was very young and, following a natural evolution, he ended up, after 14 years on the soccer field, practicing alpine sports. Whether it is road cycling, mountain biking or skiing in winter, Seppi spends every free minute in his beloved mountains. Physical activity in nature and the continuous challenge to go beyond his limits are his main motivations. In 2009 Seppi participated in his first ski mountaineering race, and he has improved consistently year after year since then. He has now accumulated a notable set of significant sporting achievements, such as victory in the Pinzgau Cup 2015/16, third place in the Vertical at the 2017 German Championships and an outstanding seventh place in the CISM World Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, this year. A passionate musician, he likes to end hard training days, especially in winter, in front of the fireplace with his Styrian accordion.
