“You put it on and never take it off again.” That’s how our research and development department describes the Castore Jacket. A new and simple way to understand the key garments for aerobic outdoor activities. Usable both as an intermediate layer in cold temperatures and as an external layer, the Castore Jacket was designed for ski mountaineering, but we immediately understood that its use could be much broader. It’s the jacket you always take with you — the one you wear in the city to protect yourself from the cold, the one that you wear on easy excursions. And the one that transforms into a high-performance and protective garment when you want to feel the adrenaline flowing through your veins. You’ll no longer have to think about stopping to remove or add a layer, simply because you won’t need to. Made of Pertex® Quantum Air fabric with DWR treatment to repel rain and light snow, the Castore Jacket features warm Primaloft® Gold Active insulation — 60-gram on the body and 40-gram on the sleeves and hood. Weighing in at just 390 grams, it’s lightweight, warm, breathable, and highly resistant to wind and other atmospheric agents. Highly packable, it takes up very little space in your backpack. In short, whether you wear it or stash it in your backpack just in case, you can’t leave the new Castore Jacket at home.
