BIOGRAPHY
Fabien Dugit was born in the Savoy region of France in 1984. Thanks to his father, a mountain guide, he grew up immersed in the culture of sports, skiing and mountaineering and has always practiced mountain sports. He spent his adolescence focused on climbing competitions: he became French bouldering champion in 2007 and difficulty champion in 2008. But the call of the mountains and adventure returned, and he decided to resume mountaineering and become certified as an alpine guide. Through the climbing competitions he met Cédric Lachat, with whom he maintained a strong friendship even in the following years. They have shared many adventures, including El Capitan in Yosemite and freeing Balade au clair de la lune on the Aiguille du fou. Today Fabien works as a rescuer with the high mountain gendarmerie in Chamonix.
