Ski mountaineering is a strange sport. Climbing is a huge effort, where you sweat and tire yourself out; descending, you feel pure enjoyment, but for an infinitesimal time compared to the climb. It’s different from other snow sports. Here you need to have garments that are breathable and lightweight but also protective and warm. And trust us, it’s not at all easy to find a garment that’s perfectly suited to the needs of every ski mountaineer. For this reason, our research and development department, guided both by passion and by our roots as athletes, has decided to focus on this objective, producing — season after season — garments that are increasingly technical and high-performing but also comfortable and with a distinctive style. The latest piece is the Marmolada Anorak Fleece, which is designed to be used in combination with the Marmolada Bib. Made of abrasion-resistant fabric with a water-repellent treatment outside and a brushed surface inside, the Marmolada Anorak Fleece offers both protection from the elements (such as wind and damp) and excellent thermal insulation, but not only that. Because when you’re pushing hard uphill, it’s important to move heat and sweat away from your body. And in fact, thanks to the lightweight and stretchy fabric inserts, the garment is highly breathable — and the double zip opening on the chest further improves ventilation.
